This Week:

The painters finished 85% of the ceilings and applied the first coat to the walls.

We sorted the doors and placed them in their respective locations.

Square Peg started setting the doors and running the casing.

The tile work continued, and progress was made in the lower-level bathrooms.

The electricians set the trim on the painted ceilings.

Additional materials and the building finish components were ordered and coordinated.

The slab templates were taken from the primary shower, fireplaces, and lower-level shower curb in the exercise bath.

Upcoming:

The door setting and casing will continue.

The tile work will continue.

The drywall crew will start finishing the piano room walls and the mechanical room walls.

The electricians will continue trimming out what they can and installing drivers and other lighting components.

Ongoing cleaning and site organization will keep progressing.

This Week:

The trim material and doors arrived on site.

The doors were delivered. They had to be shuttled up, since the truck was unable to climb the hill, but the Square Peg crew helped problem solve with a white glove moving treatment.

The painters prepped the ceilings and walls and began painting.

The tile installation continued in the lower-level bathrooms.

The bathroom and shower floors were tiled, grouted, and protected.

The primary bathroom was nearly completed.

Upcoming:

The first coat of paint will be completed. The paint crew will begin applying the stain to the cypress soffits, walls, and ceilings outside.

The doors will be set, and the trim will be installed starting on the lower level.

The tile install will continue.

The slabs will be templated on the ready surfaces.

This Week:

The remaining shower pans were waterproofed. The mud beds were laid and set and inspected by the city.

The plaster board was hung, and the plaster was applied to the remaining walls outside the parlor.

Flooring protection was laid throughout the house.

The wood wall panels were plumbed and squared up. The substrate was applied to the surfaces while keeping the lighting, register, and other penetration locations open.

I received help to clear and organize the building detritus and usable building materials throughout the job site.

Upcoming:

The interior trim package will be delivered, and an additional crew from Square Peg will move the interior progress along.

The painter will begin prepping and painting.

The tile will continue on the lower level.

We are tentatively scheduled for slab templating for the available surfaces.

This Week:

The flooring installation was completed. The floors were protected and the excess material was removed from the site.

The interior trim materials were delivered.

The tile installation continued.

The wood-paneled walls were prepped for the finished material.

Upcoming:

The wood-paneled wall prep will continue and the tile installation in the lower level and primary bath will continue.

The chimney shroud will arrive and be set.

The painter will prep, protect, and begin the first coats on the ceilings and walls.
